It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas (IV)
Last Christmas post, I promise! Dillon's favorite song ever, ever is "Frosty the Snowman." Take a look:

Dillon Museum of Fine Art (III)
In the relatively short time Dillon has been able to manipulate her hands and fingers, she has amassed quite a collection of art. Here are some highlights from the holidays:

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas (III)
To wrap up our week of Christmas festivities, we headed to the Hotel del Coronado for Dillon's first introduction to high tea. She donned her prettiest dress (thank Aunt Ellen) and a pair of butterfly wings, then proceeded to charm the pants of the entire hotel. This may become a yearly tradition.

That Was Then / This Is Now (IX)
For as long as we've been in San Diego, Craig and I have eaten Peking duck for Christmas dinner. Over these many years we've learned that the most important thing is to go early or else the wait is soooo long. This was Dillon's 3rd year joining in our Sino-Christian tradition.

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas (II)
We were on our own this Christmas so we had a leisurely few days to roll around town doing as we pleased. Christmas morning was a flurry of wrapping paper, waffles and pyjamas. I made a little video to show you how it went down--552 pictures + 3 songs from The Nutcracker. If you think this video is way too long, well, it's your own damn fault for buying Dillon so many presents. [Sorry the water table, art table, and giant horse didn't make it into the video...those were separate events all their own.]

That Was Then / This Is Now (VIII)
It's hard to believe, but this was Dillon's 3rd year attending Tom and Curt's Christmas party; therefore, here is our first installation of That Was Then / This Is Now with three photos!

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas (I)
Let us commence the onslaught of Christmas-related blog posts! First up, we were pleased as always to attend the annual Toys-for-Tots holiday party at our friends, Tom and Curt's lovely home.
I love how these photos start off serious but then goofball Dillon emerges.
Here is a short video of Dillon jamming to the steel drum (coincidentally named Dylan's Steel Drum Band):

Birch Aquarium
I love the aquarium! Although not especially huge, it's always fun and they have the most gorgeous view of La Jolla on the back deck. I try to wrangle the family into going as often as possible. Here are some picks from a trip over the summer (yes, that was months ago).
