LA Story: Island's

After Quinn's birthday, we hot-footed it up to L.A. for a few days to see my dear friend Tasha and her family. Remember her from any of these places? As a double bonus, we met my other dear L.A. friend Stephanie (and family) at Island's for dinner one night. Fun for all!

Birthday Party Round-Up: Hunter

I know I usually group two birthday parties together, but Quinn's buddy Hunter is getting her own post. Why? Because she had the most amazing "petting zoo" ever! Goats and guinea pigs? Nope! More like anteaters, pythons, and wallabies! Happy 2nd birthday, Hunter.

Anteater eating strawberry jam. Like they do.

Crikey, that's a wallaby!

Dillon and Quinn are really into the tortoise.

That Was Then / This Is Now (31)

We are going waaaaaay back for this one! Recently I posted about how Quinn gets to wear a lot of Craig's old clothes. Well! His mom sent us a picture of Craig in the yellow dog jumper! I won't say who's cuter...

Blue steel, Craiggy!

Mini Quinny Party: Zoo Edition

After taking a slight detour through Dillon's last day of school, we're back to Quinn's birthday festivities. We know Quinn loves her animals, so we went to the zoo where she picked up a cute stuffed koala bear she decided to name "Granola Bar." Reminds me of the time Dillon wanted to name unborn Quinn "Stop Sign."

Monkeying around.

There Will Be Blood...But Not Too Much

Dillon handled her first blood draw like a champ. She was a little nervous but not a single tear in the end. She looks justifiably proud:

Adventures in Learning: Citizens on Patrol

We're lucky our girls love school. Of course, they get to do some pretty fun things!

Bubble fun.

Getting a ride from a friend.

Story time!

Just hanging out.
Dillon's school had an international day of fun. Every grade celebrated a different country. The kinders had Zimbabwe. I impressed everyone with how much I already knew about Zimbabwe. That's right, I'm smart enough to be a kindergartner.

Note our homemade tissue paper flowers from Mexico!

Last Day Hooray!

Seems like only yesterday was Dillon's first day in elementary school, but suddenly her entire first year is over! No big deal...just learning to read, multiply and run miles...there was a last day ceremony where the students got certificates and sang songs about community workers. A very cute morning!

New sign needed!

Recognition for running miles.

Certificate of achievement (everyone got one).

With best bud Olivia.

With fave teacher Mrs. S.
And, of course, the song about the postal workers of America:
