Happy Birthday Quinn -- and America! (Part 2)

No surprise here, we were back at the Aviara for picnics, wagon rides and fireworks.

Bubblicious.

Family time.

This group keeps on growing. We are reaching critical mass!

Happy Birthday Quinn -- and America! (Part 1)

My parents wanted to come out for Quinn's birthday, but decided to come a few weeks early so we could also celebrate the 4th of July together. So Quinn got an early birthday this year, complete with festive balloons which flew away into the sky before the evening was through. First, some photos:

We call this the mutual admiration society.

We call this goofballing around.

In case you were wondering about the family dynamic...

Adventures in Daycare: Red, White and Blonde

It's hard to believe Dillon's daycare adventures are coming to an end, but until then: we post!

Reading with pals Layla and Natalia.

Sharky...good name for a shark!

Yes! Sleep!

Aunt Julie and mommy show up for mystery reader.

Quinn and...one of the bald babies.

I love this photo with Leo. How happy are these kids?

Birthday Round-Up: Jaclyn and Dylan Boy

Hitting the birthday party circuit hard...first up, our good friend and Quinn's godmother Jaclyn celebrated turning 3_ at the beach.

The cool kids.

Beach chic hair.

Another great sunset. Ho hum.

We also helped Dylan Boy celebrate the big 0-4. For a brief period it seemed Dillon Girl and Dylan Boy were engaged to be married, but have now "consciously uncoupled." Well you know what Shakespeare says: the course of true love never did run smooth.

Pucker up!

Also the kids are really into pinatas these days. And Star Wars.

This Trooper Rocks

Dillon's drawing ability continues to grow. Her little people with five strands of hair and exceptionally long legs are so adorable. One day she drew the picture on the right and when I asked what it was, she said "It's me in my stormtrooper shirt." GENIUS! I think someone helped her with her face, but everything else looks like her handy work. Note the stormtrooper is wearing headphones, just like on her shirt.

Dillon's hair seriously does look like that sometimes.

The Graduate (Part 2)

Here are some more pix of the graduation festivities, including what I think are the first pictures of us as a family of four!

Class of 2016

We're outta here!

Family.

How cute are these kids?
Here is also a graduation art project. We actually gave this to Loretta--and she cried! Dillon now states she wants to be a hair stylist...for princesses!

Stylist to the stars.

The Graduate (Part 1)

Preschool graduation, a silly but adorable ritual. Dillon has been at her daycare/preschool since she was 18 months old--so over three years! She's had some of these friends (Millie and Dylan Boy) for 75% of her life. Enough of the wistful, sentimental parenting hooey...here are some pix of our little grad, rocking a flamingo dress (didn't realize how short it was on her now) and gladiator sandals.

Where did she learn to sit like such a lady?

Running up to receive her "diploma."

Walking through the tunnel of parents.

Mood shot.
Also here is a video of a song they learned in class. Excuse my giggles.
