Nothing More Fun Than Making a Dang Mess

True, Dillon smelled like shaving cream for days, but she sure did have fun!

Someone get the hose!

You know you are having fun when it's in your hair.

Must have run out before she could finish up her right leg.

Introducing: Dragon!

Well, guys, we may be biting off more than we can chew, but Dillon is getting a little sister over the summer! Dillon's nickname when she was in utero was Donut and this little nugget's nickname is Dragon. So here she is. Scary looking, huh?

In December I think she was a whole centimeter long.

Late January and she's a whopping three inches! Also she looks like a Martian.

Dillon Museum of Fine Art (VIII)

The last holiday post is upon us! Here is a selection of Dillon's Christmas art.

I love this snowman.

This wreath never wilts.

A tree without presents...so sad.

This tree is actually over two feet tall.

Stockings for everyone.

That Was Then / This Is Now (XV)

Tea time and the Hotel Del this year and last. It seems like Dillon really jumped from toddler to little girl this year. No more bibs for this one!

Finger food.

I may be older, but I still like finger food.

Tea Time at the Del

What's a girl to do when she has a red party dress and no party? Head to the Hotel del Coronado for Christmas tea! Basically the same set-up as last year, but at least this time Dillon actually ate some of the food--if you consider the whipped cream topping on her hot chocolate "food." I stand by my opinion that Coronado has the best sunsets in San Diego. I'm always awed by the intense oranges we get there.

Licking up all the whipped cream.

Can't go anywhere without Binky Bear.
She's old enough for champagne, right?

Running amok.

Family under gazebo.

Mommy and Dillon in coats. Brrr...

Doesn't get better than this. Suck it rest of the world.

The Del at night.

Merry Christmas Day

We've got something of a tradition going here, which basically entails opening presents, being lazy and eating Chinese food. This year was also the first year we put up stockings--I somehow even found time to sew Dillon's ballerina stocking.

Finding gifts.

Opening gifts.

Chillin' with Zeus.

Our favorite spot for Peking duck.

Dillon's first time with chopsticks.

Dillon Gingerbread

Over the holidays Dillon has a playdate with her best bud Millie Mills. They decorated some gingerbread men before play quickly devolved into enacting scenes from Frozen. Sigh.

Dillon's edible masterpiece.

If Pablo Picasso made a gingerbread man...

Millie takes a bite.

Frozen dresses.

Walking in a Petco Wonderland

Snow...what nature doesn't provide, man makes. Petco Park hosted a Winter Wonderland this year, complete with hot cocoa, train rides, snow and photos with Santa. We got the whole gang together to enjoy a little Christmas cheer. Also we celebrated Maya's birthday with blue cupcakes so there is frosting in every picture.

At least the frosting matches her shirt!

Do you wanna build a snowman?

Which way to the hot cocoa?

Moms and kids. We are greatly outnumbered.

Candyland!

Nothing says Christmas like short sleeves!
