Walker Canyon Wildflowers

This year SoCal was blessed with an abundance of wildflowers. Even just driving up the 5 there were gorgeous poppies and mustard plants everywhere. One day Dillon and I drove up to Lake Elsinore to hike around Walker Canyon to see the blooms. She was by far the most stylish hiker out there!

Just like her mom, Dillon took lots of pictures.

Pretty nice view!

Flower power.

It was SOOOO windy!

Poppies!

Cutest goofball ever.

Vintage Quinn

Craig's mom saved a lot of his clothes and she passed them on to us. It's been fun seeing Quinny wear them all.

Craig's Disney hat.

I can't stand how cute Quinny is in Craig's doggie jumper.

An adult actually said, "Oh I had a sweater like that when I was a kid."

America: Try Not to Panic

It is officially a tradition: back to the Aviara to celebrate Independence Day with our friends. The only thing that changes is that the kids keep growing!

Quinn is having a jewelry situation.

The one photo we take as a family every year.

Kids times infinity.

Sissies.

Advenutres in Learning: On Stranger Tides

Can't get enough of the daycare Instagram!

Time to sit in a bin.

Time to wrestle Lulu.

Time to gossip with Reece.

Dillon has been busy running and singing and other -ing things!

Jog-a-thon! She ran 21 laps.

100 pieces of popcorn on a princess hat to mark 100 days of kindergarten.
I can't upload the whole video, but here's about 50 seconds of Dillon singing along to "You're Welcome" from Moana. See if you can spot her in the back row...

Loops with Layla

To quote Jimmy Fallon's SNL DJ Joey Mack (too obscure?): "And we're back!" Back to Mission Trails that is. And back with hiking buddy, Layla. One of our favorite spots is the visitors loop because it's relatively flat and short with some nice shady trees along the way. We also like to run around the visitor's center too!

Show me "hiker face."

These rocks are a favorite resting spot.

Play to the balcony, children!

Color splash!

Hiking in earnest.

Kiddo Museum of Contemporary Art and Academics (19)

We have a lot to cover in this post! Tons of art and schoolwork--I love watching their skills develop.

Craig and Dillon worked on this one together.

Mommy as chubby Edward Scissorhands.

Impressionist princess.

Dillon drew this great wintertime tree!

Splotches!

Primary color scribbles.

Turkey explosion.

"My dad and me went to get donuts. We waited in the line."

Quinny likes to wear a cozy hat when she paints.
