Pumpkin Patching

We've been to several competing pumpkin patches around the county over the years. This time we headed down south to Suzy's Farm (you may remember them from our tomato picking adventure). It was a balmy 88 degrees out this time. Perfect fall weather for San Diegans.

Pumpkin stroll.

Quinn's first fall!

She looks super thrilled!

Just girls.

That Was Then / This Is Now (20)

You may think, "Poor Quinn. Her whole wardrobe is comprised of Dillon castoffs." Well, rest assured, Dillon's clothes were plenty cute. See here:

Dillon is Four (Part 3)

To wrap up Dillon's birthday extravaganza, we had a pool party at the local college pool. The kids had so much fun and the parents were able to relax. Easiest party ever! It was so sweet to see Dillon really bond with her little girlfriends. They are quire cute!

Valeria, Dillon and Natalia

Dillon and Valeria. They are thick as thieves.

Quinn looking cute as a button.
Time for cake!

And frosting.

Lots of frosting.
There were also way too many presents (Disney princess explosion). Here she is opening a few magic clip doll glitter gliders. If you don't know what those are, consider yourself lucky.

Dillon Is Four (Part 2)

To continue celebrating Dillon's birthday, we headed all the way to Escondido to visit the Safari Park. Craig and I had not been since 2005...back when we visited San Diego for the first time and fell in love with our future home. We did a lot of walking, carousel riding and face painting.

Can you spot the Dillon?

Dillon as a bat. With a tiara.

Belle and Rapunzel came along.

Quinn snoozed throughout.

Tired. So tired.

Face paint joy.

Dillon Is Four (Part 1)

You guys....here comes the explosion of fun known as "Dillon's Birthday." Unbelievably, she is now four years old. To say time flies is a cliche, but also very true. Well, we have a lot of ground to cover so lets get started!

The day of her actual birthday we celebrated at Smash Burgers and then opened presents. Here are the highlights:

Well that's one way to eat your greens.

Finger puppets!

Someone is pretty excited about presents!

Disney Princess cookbook "from" Quinn.

Owl hat and "Mix It Up" book from Aunt Julie.

Three Generations

I wouldn't say any of us are looking our best--I have maternity clothes on and my mom is wearing yellow boat shoes--but when she visited we managed to take this photo of all the girls--three generations to be exact.

At least Dillon looks like a princess.

Quinn's Hospital Adventure

My parents came out to California last month to attend Quinn's baptism, but Quinn had other plans. Rather she developed an infection, spiked a fever in the middle of the night and spent the next day in the hospital. Luckily, after a week of antibiotics, she's fully recovered. I'd say it was her first official adventure.

Sleepy times at the ER.

E.T. light-up foot.

Very roomy accommodations.

Bionic arm.

Cuddling with Julio String Cheese.

Impromptu follow-up trip to the ER.

Adventures in Daycare: Rogue Nation

Dillon is quite social at daycare these days. She loves playing with her friends...and often invites them to dinner at Rubio's!

Things are looking up.

Hula dancing.

The Elsa Braid Brigade.

Doing a big splash.

Water play with her buddies.
