Final Dragon Update

In what I believe will be the last Dragon update before she "pops out" as Dillon says, here are even more ultrasound pictures. We were "treated" to some 3D imagery as well, which is just plain freaky. She looks like a mushed-up Play-Doh baby! Hopefully her skin won't be quite so lumpy when she's born...

Does she have a giant mustache?

I think she is saying, "I know these 3D images look terrible."

I'm not sure what this is...a leg?

Full of Hot Air

To finish up our birthday party season, we helped Natalia celebrate the big 0-3 at Inflatable World. Bounce houses are bound to give me a heart attack one day, but Dillon survived without injury (no so for Craig who suffered a hot-plastic burn not even a princess bandage could heal). Super short video at the end of Dillon bravely tackling the shark slide on her own.

Bouncing the house.

Decorating butterfly masks.

This picture would lead you to believe it's Dillon's birthday rather than Natalia's.

That Was Then / This Is Now (16)

First of all, I have to say Zeus is ageing remarkably well! Dillon too for that matter. Here they are when Dillon was 3 months old and when she was three years old.

Bowled Over

Earlier this year it seemed like we had a birthday party every weekend. Here our buddy, Lucy, turns four. She celebrated at the bowling alley. This was the first time Dillon had ever been bowling and let's just say she may have overdressed...

Jim helps Dillon and Riley set up the shot.

What princess dress would be complete without a party hat?

These bowling shoes don't really match my Belle gown.

She did a good job of keeping her hands out of the ball return.

Farmers Market Snack Time

Although we have great produce year-round here (thanks, Mexico and Chile!), we tend to hit up the farmers market during the warmer months when the berries and stone fruit come into season. Dillon and I love to buy a pint of strawberries and then eat them all before we get home.

Juicy.

No trip to the farmers market is complete without a macaron.

California girl.

Silly selfie.

Dillon took this photo of Dragon and me at 4.5 months.

A Frozen Kind of Birthday

A few months ago, Dillon attended the 3rd birthday of classmate Layla Rose. The girls were all shocked and thrilled when Queen Elsa arrived to entertain them with songs, "snow" and princess make-up! Dillon had a great time until she realized none of the presents were for her; then she lost her marbles.

Princess melee.

A little princess kickball.

Queen Elsa make-up.

"Snow!"

Snow Bird

Well this post is a bit overdue, but Dillon got to frolic in the snow twice this year--once in San Diego and once in New York. We went for a few days to visit family and, again, did not have the proper snow gear for our child. She seemed not to mind although adult gloves on a toddler is sort of ridiculous!

Snow drift!

Snowy hair.

Helping remove icicles from the car.

Surfing snowman.

The street where Craig grew up.

Man...we worked so hard for this nap.
