Balboa Park Walkabout

Dillon and I get to spend most Sunday morning together. We often go to Balboa Park because it's so close to church. Here is our latest photo shoot, where she beautifully models the "10,000 Leagues Under the Sea" dress I made:

Dillon Museum of Fine Art (IV)

Since we last saw her gallery, Dillon continues to churn out lovely pieces of art. Her favorite mediums are paint, glitter and stickers.

Family rocks in the backyard.

A heart painted with plant bristles.

Utter chaos.

Digital art on the iPad.

Hair and trucks.

Nature collage.

"Snow After Melting."

Tissue paper collage.

Coloring on tippy toes.

Old Poway Park Photo Shoot

As you've seen from our 2013 holiday card, we had some professional photos taken last year--by the same photographer who also took our wedding photos! The funny thing was that Old Poway Park was positively packed with other families who had the same idea. Well, the other funny thing was trying to get Craig, Zeus and Dillon to all look at the camera at the same time.

Proof Dillon Is Korean!

Well she certainly doesn't look Korean, but at least we have proof of her Asian ancestry! Behold the seaweed monster:

Vintage Wear: Daddy Style

You may remember that when Dillon was first born, I put her in one of the shirts I wore as a newborn. Well it turns out Craig's mother also saved several of his outfits and we've enjoyed seeing Dillon wear them over the past several months.

Dillon's First Public Dance Performance

Over the summer we attended my company's annual summer work event, held at the Hall of Champions in Balboa Park. Dillon had a blast dancing and playing hide n seek, and Craig and I enjoyed the delicious sliders. Dillon tapping into her Korean heritage, went gangnam style on the dance floor with three of my co-worker's boys.

Do not want to think about how many people
have worn that wig before me.

Mr. Gorbachev, Tear Down This House!

A few months ago our friends, the Wyatts, began demolition on their house, which they are rebuilding from the ground up. To celebrate, they invited everyone over for pizza and sledgehammers. The grown-ups wielded the heavy equipment while the kiddos stuck to markers and paint. Dillon also got in a little babysitting...

We call Craig the Pied Piper.

Decorating before destruction.

Pizza break.

This is even messier than my room!
