Quinn's Baptism

Although Quinn's hospital adventure delayed her baptism, it didn't derail it completely. Nice try, Satan! Also, if you want to see how sweet Dillon looked at her baptism, click here.

Dillon & Quinn

It's so sweet seeing Dillon around Quinn. She loves to look at Quinn, rock her, make her laugh and just hang out with her. She's also really thoughtful and always brings home trinkets for Quinn, even though she's too young for any of them.

Dillon is so happy to have a sister!

Quinn Goes to Daycare

Well the day came a lot sooner for Quinn than Dillon, but our little dragon is already heading off to daycare. The teachers are really sweet and love playing with our girl. Here's a picture of her on her first day:

Always chewing on her hand.

AND she's already showing up on Instagram. Here's a picture from her first week:

Hi.
We know she's going to do as great as Dillon in daycare.

Butterfly and Caterpillar Go Trick or Treating

When I asked Dillon months ago what she wanted to be for Halloween she told me she wanted to be a VW Beetle. This filled me with dread because I had no idea how I was going to make a car costume. Luckily, when I asked later, she said she wanted to be a butterfly--much more doable! Also, I thought Quinn would be the perfect hungry caterpillar to go along with her big sister butterfly.

The very hungry caterpillar...

...and the firebird princess butterfly...

...love each other.

We went to a friend's party for Halloween and along the way ran into this villain.

Unlikely friends.

At school, Dillon opted for a Cyndi Lauper costume. I bet the real Batgirl and Cyndi would get along just swell.

Best buds.

Pret-a-Porter

Dillon's fashion sense is slowly evolving. While it's great that she's expressing herself through her clothes, sometimes it bums me out when she doesn't want to wear the cute clothes I've bought her (hello, blue flower print pants and cutoff jean shorts). But you have to admit: the kid's got style.

Every outfit needs a cape.

Jumper and pig tails.

Blue "painted" nails (aka marker).

Just a bunch of stuff happening here.

Tropical theme complete with lei.

Statement headband.

Dillon Writes Grandma a Birthday Story

For my mom's birthday last month, Dillon made a card. Inside she wrote a story, undecipherable to anyone but her. Here is a video of her reading the story. Happy birthday, Grandma!

Quinny Bee on a Quilt

Through a little bit of luck I happened to win a quilt in a raffle for World Breastfeeding Week (don't ask). One of the nurses at the local hospital had made it and I have to say it gets a lot of action at our house. I especially like the blue reverse side because it's so soft. Not only does Quinn play on it every day, but I also have been known to take a nap under it as well. There aren't any pictures of the nap however...

Play time with some insects.

Working on some ballet moves.

Tongue time.

Tummy time.

Just lying around.
