J'aime Les Macarons

I think it is accurate to say Dillon is obsessed with macarons. She asks for them almost daily and when I say we don't have any, she is quick to ask, "Do we need to go to the store and buy some?" Not to be confused with the equally delicious coconut macaroons, as you'll notice in the video, her French pronunciation is excellent.

Our favorite local spot for macarons is Bread & Cie at the farmers market.

Tea Party at the Grand Del Mar

We had so much fun when we went to tea at the Hotel Del Coronado last year, we decided to do it again for Craig's faux birthday (yes, it was Craig's idea). We enjoyed a nice lunch, a quick game of bocce-croquet and a pleasant stroll around the grounds.

Living Coast Discovery Center

When my mom came to visit a few months ago, we trekked down to Chula Vista to see the Living Coast Discovery Center where we met a handsome gold eagle and a very large turtle.

Easter Eggs!

Dillon was a bit sick this Easter, so there wasn't much in the way of bunnies or egg hunts, but we did manage to dye some eggs. It was her first time and I think she liked it! Craig and I liked the egg salad we ate afterwards.

Sewing: Teepee

My biggest sewing project to date was a play teepee for Dillon. I was able to finish most of it in time for a big reveal on Christmas morning, I have to say, I wouldn't mind taking a nap in there sometime...
