California Dreamin'

I mean everyone puts their kid in a trash can at some point, right? Song is "California Dreamin'" by the Mamas and the Papas.

Dillon Does Housework

We all know Craig is the vacuum-er in our house, but it seems he has a protege now too:

Snow! Tiny Bits of Snow!

We kicked off 2015 with a trip to Mt. Laguna for some fun in the snow. Of course, everyone else had the same idea so we pulled off into one of the many other parks in the Cleveland National Forest. Alas, Dillon doesn't really have snow gear, so she ended up in sneakers and socks for gloves. I think it's safe to say, she still had a blast.

Lovely blue sky.

Improvised sock-gloves.

Not exactly snow shoes--but they're stylish!

This was Dillon's first time seeing any snow.

She seems to really like it!

Zeus loves the snow--it's in his Swissy bones. Here's a quick video of him frolicking at the park. Music is "Trepak" (aka "The Russian Dance") from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker.

Dragon Update!

Sort of crazy the number of pictures we're accumulating of Dragon before she's even made her grand entrance. Such is modern medicine. Or modern health insurance, I guess is more accurate. Anyway, she's definitely starting to look more human! Phew.

Okay, still a little bit alien looking.

Looks like she has quite a chin.

And good kicking feet.

Dillon's First School Photos

I didn't realize the school traditions reminiscent of my own childhood would start so soon, but Dillon has already taken her first class pictures! I remember taking them with my sister when we lived in England...and I also remember a particularly terrible one in 2nd grade where I had hideous glasses and a few missing teeth. I suppose Dillon is destined to hate a few of hers too over the years, but not these because they're pretty cute!

Aaaannnd...pose!

She picked out the shirt herself!

This Is 40: Craig Version (Part 3)

To wrap up Craig's birthday, here are a few more pix from our trip to Indian Wells.

Dillon is going through a "cape" phase at the moment.

Getting a lift from daddy.

Hey we even watched a little tennis!

Family selfie!

And here's a little video of Dillon, dressed as Belle and dancing to "Hey Jude"--which she personally requested the band play.

This Is 40: Craig Version (Part 2)

The tennis-themed birthday continued with a trip to Indian Wells for the PNB Paribas Open (remember we went three years ago). We stayed at the very beautiful La Quinta Resort where Craig enjoyed a private tennis lesson, Dillon enjoyed the pool, and we all enjoyed watching John Isner and Sam Querry practicing on a resort court.

Nothing better than a napping Dillon.

Karate Kid crane kick.

Hate to think of their water bill!

Pool with great view of the Santa Rosa Mtns.

Watching some tennis while relaxing in bed.
