Mt. Laguna Snow Party

El Nino brought the rain in San Diego and the snow in the mountains. We hit "the slopes" with friends to celebrate Jaxon turning five. Dillon had a blast sledding for the first time--even though there was a hit n run (two points on her sledding license) and Quinn was cozy as can be in her snow suit.

First, check out the rain:

Here are some pix of the snow fun:

The drive up.

"So this is what it's like to be pregnant."

Snow bunny.

We made a snowy friend!

Dillon Museum of Fine Art (12)

Dillon's art skills are really improving. She's starting to color somewhere close to the lines and some of her drawings actually look like things I can easily identify!

I love coloring with her. Guess which side she did.

Pangea.

This was done with Q-Tips.

I love these smiley faces so much.

Watercolors.
The messy stuff goes outside!

Adventues in Daycare: The Force Awakens

We've reached a new chapter in our daycare adventures: pictures of Dillon AND Quinn. They don't go to the same daycare, but they both have the same amount of fun.

Future architect?

Catching raindrops with Baylin and Soraya.

Handing out stickers for cleaning up.

Doing some yoga (she's in the bright pink top.)

Hanging out with Adelyn.

Smiles and tummy time.

Hanging with the Grandfolk

As I mentioned before, my parents came out in the fall to celebrate Quinn's baptism, but she had other plans. However, once Quinn had recovered sufficiently, we were still able to explore the city and spend time together. My dad even mustered up the courage to hold the baby!

We went to Mission San Diego one day.

Cobblestone walkway.

Prayer votives.

Who's babysitting who?

We also went to the Mingei Int'l Museum one day as well.

George Nakamura dining chairs.

San Diego's favorite sculptor, Niki de St. Phalle.

Another St. Phalle sculpture outside. Friendly alligator, right?

Proof my dad really held her!

That Was Then / This Is Now (23)

The first time I took Dillon to the Natural History Museum, I couldn't resist buying her a little buddy. We named him Growly (you can see the original post here). Two years later, we brought him back to his original home along with a new baby! I must say, he's ageing pretty well! PS--That is a magical glove she is holding that gives her fierce ice powers.
