Lenten Bonfire

We were lucky enough to head out to Naval Air Station North Island on Coronado for a lenten bonfire. Not so lucky? It was pretty darn cold...we wore snow jackets!

Burn, baby, burn.

Sweater from the Craig Collection.

She's bundled up good!

Sharing or fighting?

Go Fly a Kite!

Over a recent three-day weekend, we headed to Mission Beach for a very chilly day in the sand. Quinn and Dillon both flew a kite for the first time ever!

Four eyes.

Quinny wearing another of Craig's old sweaters.

Sometimes this is what kite-flying looks like.

Quinn + Dillon = team work!

And a video of the kite flying in action (kind of). [Song is "Straighten Up and Fly Right" by Natalie Cole.]

Zoo-ology

We sure do love the zoo. Check out Quinn and Dillon's matching shirts, courtesy of Grandma W.

Rawr!

I love this sweet pic.

They coordinated outfits.

I feel like we don't have as much art from Quinn as we had from Dillon that age..or maybe it all just looks the same! Both girls love doing all sorts of (messy) art.

Stained glass jellyfish from Dillon.

This is a picture of Zeus, not of poop!

Quinn's happy princess scribbles.

Dillon made a book about her year in TK.

This is a pretty good praying mantis.

Not sure who wrote her name...but it wasn't Quinn!

Art supplies or dog snacks...?

MLK Play Day

On a recent day off from school, we met up with Quinn's BFFs, Lulu and Reece. Park, sand, juice boxes...all that fun stuff!

These trees were hard to climb.

Juice in style.

Dillon burial.

Dillon was "in charge" of the littles.

Sister play time.

Also here's a video of Dillon successfully traversing the monkey bars. It took her many tries over many months, but she finally succeeded! [Song is "Shake Me Like a Monkey" by Dave Matthews Band]

Adventures in Learning: the Squeakquel

Happy kids playing and learning crap.

Cozy time with BFF Reece. Quinn's hair looks bonkers in this photo.

Nap time! (Quinn is dead center)

Helping friends "go to sleep."

Crawling under the furniture and stuff.

As for Dillon, one Saturday we decided to volunteer in the school garden and were rewarded with fresh produce and the satisfaction of a job well done!

Beautiful sunflowers in bloom.
